About Me

My name is Thomas Jaggers. I was born and grew up in England, but have always felt myself to be a member of the whole human race, and beyond that a small part of life on this planet Earth, rather than of this nation or that nation.

I met my first taiji and qigong teacher when I was 25 years old, and knew immediately that the study of energy, qigong, and eastern body-based spirituality were my foundational spiritual practices. There followed many years of practice and study in England, Japan, and finally in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

In 1996 I met Michael Barnett, a spiritual teacher and energy master, and subsequently lived in his communities in France and Switzerland, and helped run and organize his groups throughout Europe.

In 2012 I met Master Zhenzan Dao. In him I found a spiritual teacher and practitioner whose integrity and dedication to his practice and way of life matched my own deepest aspirations. I found, for the first time in my life, the most profound reflection of my own spirit.

After two years of intense and beautiful study, I certified as a MogaDao Morning Medical Qigong Instructor and a Sacred Daoist Sexuality Guide. I was also honored to be asked by Master Zhenzan to serve as the MogaDao Institute’s Community Relations Director and to sit on the Board of the MogaDao Institute.

I have been offering  weekly qigong classes in Santa Fe since early 2014. I also offer workshops in Daoist Sexuality, and more generally for men, and online classes.

In 2016 I co-founded Embodying The True Masculine with my dear friend and colleague, Patrick Anderson, in the belief that a deeper understanding of what true masculinity is, and how to embrace it and embody it, is vital for our species and our planet. We offer workshops for men throughout the U.S.A. and in Europe. You can find more information about that work here.

I have lived in Santa Fe for 14 years. In that time I have worked for the Academy for the Love of Learning, a local non-profit educational organization. I am a certified New Mexico mediator (see my website here). And I also offer facilitation and consultancy services to groups and organizations working for the betterment of our society.

On the MogaDao Teacher Certification

“Each MogaDao teacher has gone through a long certification program and been certified in the most personal way by Master Zhenzan Dao. For the tradition of MogaDao, although all of its disciplines speak to the deep needs within modern people, is founded upon an antique ethos or Way. This consciously antiquated culture, expressed in all of the MogaDao disciplines, is based on focus, devotion, and transmission, rather than the zeitgeist or defining spirit and general mood of our time in which conveniences of every kind, gratifications as instantaneous as they are fleeting, and an extreme excess of sensory stimulation are the norm.  MogaDao-Certified teachers have cultivated these disciplines to the level of high arts and offer instruction that is as precise as it is generous and nurturing.” Zhenzan Dao
